EVERY Saturday, September 12 through October 17 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Six-week program | Saturdays only
A personal acting experience where students work one-on-one and in a supportive group setting to develop a monologue of their choice, either original or selected from our curated collection. Through guided coaching and focused rehearsal, performers learn how to break down text, understand character intention, and make clear, specific acting choices while also learning to consider and explore empathy for others’ points of view within the story.
This class emphasizes truthful performance, confidence, connection, and empathy woven through every stage of the process. Students are supported in finding honesty in their work, building a strong sense of presence on stage, and developing an understanding of character that is rooted not only in imagination and emotional awareness, but also in the ability to step outside themselves and see the world through another person’s perspective.
Rooted in a growth-over-perfection approach, this experience encourages each student to take creative risks, trust their instincts, and deepen their understanding of storytelling through acting in a personal and meaningful way, while developing empathy as a core tool for truthful, human performance.
